Moving across the country was actually a lot less stressful than I imagined it to be. I’m all settled in at my place in Morgantown, WV. Take a look at my new surroundings.

While we were testing out the 1DmkIV the other day, a rapper and his producer approached us in the park. Here’s a few images of them. These are ISO 3200, I shot these in RAW and used Noiseware Professional on them since they were not part of the ISO comparison between cameras.

Using the Canon 1D, 1DmkII, 1DmkIII, and 1DmkIV Jimmy and I set up a series of mini real world field tests. Conclusion? We like the 1DmkIV. Take a look at the video piece Jimmy edited:

Here’s a photo of myself and Jimmy setting up for one of the lights pictures. All the images were lit the same, very small softbox either camera right or left, and bare strobe firing from behind for a rim.

After nearly a 5 month wait, a lens that I had in for repair was finally available for picked up. I snatched up the lens downtown and wanted to test it out for functionality. I then headed up Queen Ann and had a nice view of Bainbridge Island right at the tail end of the sunset. Five minutes later, it was dark and I snapped some shots of downtown:
